Community Leader Shane Cuthbert and Cairns Regional Councillor Rob Pyne

On Monday the 5th September, both Shane Cuthbert and Rob Pyne will appear before the Queensland Governments, Community Support and Services Committee: Inquiry into the Decriminalisation of Certain Public Offences, and Health and Welfare Responses.
The Inquiry will hold a regional Hearing in Cairns as the Committee acknowledges the impact any decriminilisation of these offences will have in regional areas and more specifically, Cairns. Shane Cuthbert has made a lengthy submission to the Inquiry and will answer to those submissions with the support of Cairns Councillor Rob Pyne. The Committee was attended by Ms Corrine McMillan MP Member for Mansfield (Chair), Mr Stephen Bennett MP Member for Burnett (Deputy Chair), Mr Michael Berkman MP Member for Maiwar, Dr Mark Robinson MP Member for Oodgeroo and Mr Robert Skelton MP Member for Nicklin. Unfortunately Cynthia Lui MP Member for Cook was unable to attend.
